Welcome to The European Database of Libraries Ltd.

A family business, created in 1989 by its founder Alan Armstrong.

The database of libraries has developed over the last 30 years to provide accurate and targeted mailings and email campaigns to libraries across the UK and Europe. We pursue a sole aim, and that is to help publishers to promote their products into specialist libraries.

The library database contains over 30,000 subject specialist librarians. Accuracy of information is important to us, as we constantly research, update and add records through our daily use and maintenance of the database.

The company is based in a country house set within the Hambleden Valley in the heart of the Chiltern Hills in southern England.

The European Database of Libraries has not changed ownership since it was created and retains all the original staff, accountants and bankers. The company has remained profitable each year since its conception.
